Cinemas across the United States are seeing a new version of the popular animated series “The Legend Of Korra,” dubbed the “Overland Park Cinemas Firestick” and the “Legacy Cinema Firestick.”
The two sets of screens, located at the Overland Park and Legacy Cinemas, are available to purchase for the first time ever in 4k at the AMC theaters and Dolby Digital 3D at both theaters, respectively.
The new Firesticks will go on sale Friday, October 21 at 10 a.m.
PT, at AMC theaters, but they are not available at all at Legacy and the Legacy Cinemascope, according to a release.
In the new Dolby Cinema Firesticks, which feature at least one 1080p video display and an HDR surround sound system, Dolbys has also integrated at least three additional Dolby Vision 4K HDR video and surround sound speakers in the theater, the release said.
“The Legacy Cinema Firesticks will be available to the general public starting October 20 at Legacy Cinemassive and Legacy Cinema.
Both sets are available for purchase for an initial purchase of $119.99, or $199.99 for a three-day pass,” the release added.
The Firestick sets will be able to play 4K content including Dolby Surround Sound and Dolbys Surround 4K video, as well as “high dynamic range” content, which will include HDR, at a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160, according a description on the Legacy Cinema’s website.
Legacy Cinemasmacodes website says “the Firestick series will debut with the premiere of the upcoming series ‘Korra: The Last Airbender’ in 2017.”
